Catherine White

...Catherine White discovered her love for dance at the age of three, when she enrolled in classes at Lane Dance Academy.  To further her dance career, Catherine began to study under Brooke Whitfield at Artistry in Motion.

Catherine was trained in ballet, jazz, tap, and acrobatics. She also participated in lyrical, improv, hip-hop, clogging, and pointe classes, and was member of multiple competitive teams. In years past, Catherine has placed first with her solos at many regional and national competitions. As a competitive senior soloist, she placed first or within the top ten at all regional 2016 and 2017 competitions. She has been chosen as a recipient of multiple scholarships at competitions as well.  Catherine has attended many dance conventions and has taken classes from broadway stars, SYTYCD winners and contestants, and commercial choreographers.

She has been involved in scholarship pageants, and held the title of Miss North Carolina’s Outstanding Teen 2016 and placed 1st Runner Up to Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2017. She received the talent award at the state level competition and won evening gown/on-stage question awards at the state and national competitions. Through this program, she has volunteered with YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, Girls on the Run after school group, and Girl Scouts.

Catherine lives in Greenville, NC where she is a freshman at East Carolina University pursing a degree in dance performance.  She began assisting with classes at Artistry in Motion in 2013 and is very excited to be joining A.I.M.’s family as a guest choreographer. Catherine’s focus is to provide a motivating environment for her students, while encouraging individuality and creativity.
